Area Woman Concerned Thieves May Target Her Kinkade

POCATELLO, ID – After reading several articles on the internet about art heists, Marjorie Simpson told reporters on Sunday that she was worried robbers might try to steal her beloved Kinkades. “I live in a neighborhood where you can leave the doors unlocked at night, but knowing that thieves have stolen Picassos and Rembrants from major museums reminds me how easy it would be for them to take artwork from my home.” She then added “I paid $1500 for my favorite painting, Courage, and that kind of money could buy a lot of marijuana on the black market. It just makes me shudder to think.” Marjorie has resolved to locking her doors more often and has invested in anti-theft picture hangers. “In my will I’m leaving my Kinkades to my grandson Clayton. He’s studying Art History in Boise and I think he’ll really appreciate them.” -CQ
