Trump to Use Richard Serra’s ‘Tilted Arc’ As Border Wall

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Richard Serra’s controversial 1981 sculpture is finally going to be moved from storage – and repurposed as the U.S.-Mexico border wall. The sculpture was called “an awkward, bullying piece that may conceivably be the ugliest work of outdoor art in the city” by New York Times art critic Grace Glueck. The sculpture was moved to storage after a lawsuit called for it’s removal in 1989.  “Serra does simply amazing work,” said Trump in a statement. “I remember when it was put up in New York back in the ’80s and I think that it will send the same message of fear to illegals as it did to those employees who fought so hard to get rid of it.” It’s good to know that the wall we’ve all been waiting for has been with us the whole time. -CQ
