Art Frieze New York Overtaken by Giant Slugs

NEW YORK – After a day of not-so-sluggish sales, Art Frieze New York was overtaken by a slurry of giant slugs. The first of the monsters reportedly appeared in the Hauser & Wirth Gallery’s booth, causing the crowds of collectors to think the slug was a new sculpture by Ron Mueck. “It soon became clear that we were dealing with an unprecedented infestation,” said Frieze Director Victoria Siddell. “Thankfully no one was harmed and only three artworks were slimed.” Final reports tell harm only befell one of the slugs, an unfortunate creature who encountered a Pier Paolo Clazolari artwork made of salt. -CQ
